Environmental Impact Related to CPO Cultivation and Products
Actions and campaigns carried out by environmentalists to preserve the rain forests’ survivability from being logged to cultivate a plantation is not without a good reason. The explanation that such activity and further beyond causes ozonization in Antartica and in longer period can threat the planet’s viability has become a very strong reason to force palm plantation owners to find a more environmental friendly cultivating alternative.
A research conducted in 2005 by Dr. Syahrinudin, a scientist from Cuvillier Verlag Gottingen, concluded that the effective method to grow palms is planting them on marginal and degraded land in order to build the land’s carbon. Palm plantations using this method sucessfully double the carbon deposit up to 5 meters of depth and therefore helps in reducing the CO2 emission to the atmosphere. As end products, the application of CPO as fuel also decreases air pollution and green house effect.

Have an Environmentally Friendly Christmas
Christmas is a great time of year to let your hair down, have fun and generally enjoy a little excess. However, it’s also the period in which most waste occurs and taking a little time to find alternative ways of celebrating the festive season can significantly limit the impact that this has on the environment without reducing your enjoyment.
Cards & Packaging
One of the greatest causes of waste at any time of year, packaging is a particular problem at Christmas time. Christmas cards also use a great deal of resources to produce and many are simply thrown away when the holidays are over. The simplest way to help reduce the waste involved is to re-use carrier bags, opt for recycled cards, use recycled wrapping paper for gifts and tie with ribbon or string so that it can be easily re-used or recycled afterwards.
